Below is a list of Platinum Jubilee
Celebrations Planned in St.Dennis

 

Thursday 2nd June

Please meet at start of Hall Road at 8:45pm
for a Lantern Parade to the car park at St Denys Church
The parade will be led by St.Dennis Band
At 9.45pm the beacon will be blessed
It will then be lit by St.Dennis Fire Brigade as part of a national event
This will be followed with hot chocolate, coffee, tea, squash, prosecco
and non-alcoholic elderflower fizz available in the church at no charge

 

Friday 3rd.June

A street party at the Working Men's Club Car Park
(indoors of wet)
The party will be from 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Free food and drinks plus entertainment
Please reserve your place by 25th.May
by posting your reservation slip in the box at ClayTawc or Clays Kitchen

Company B Jump Jive Band
At the Working Men's Club function room
Doors open at 7:00pm
Free entry (over 18's only)

 

Saturday 4th.June

Competition Judging
From 10:30am onwards
Judging of the best Royal themed scarecrow
and best decorated house / garden

Family Fun day in the Playing Field
Inflatables, games and stalls from 1:00pm to 5:00pm
Raffle with great prizes
St.Dennis Commemorative Mugs available to purchase
with all proceeds going to
Cancer Research, Cornwall Air Ambulance and The Community Food Larder

 

Sunday 5th June

At 3:00pm in St Denys Church there will be a service to celebrate the Jubilee
which will be followed by Tea on the Green (or, if wet, in church)
