John and Margaret Pearn (née Tucker) - February 2022

A house known for obvious reasons as "The One Chimney House" was built by Ned Best
alongside the narrrow one way street that leads down from the Treviscoe road to Hendra Road.
According to information passed down through the family the house was built at a cost of £5.00.
Ned had a son Leslie who married a Mevagissey girl and emigrated to Vancouver,
Canada where Leslie was a minister.
Some time after losing her husband in an accident at Parkandillick Margaret's great grandmother
married Ned Best and lived in the One Chimney House.
The derelict remains of the house could be seen in the 1960's but nothing remains of it today.
